Hello. For those who don't know me, I'm Shuichi Saihara. I don't really use the network very much but I need a favor and I have a few questions so here we are.

I'm a chemist, and as far as I know, I'm the only one...unless any of the new arrivals were assigned that path as well.
So that's my first question, I suppose. If there are any new chemists, I'd love to talk with you.
And I can try and answer any questions you might have, as well.

That said, I'm a little more confident in my abilities with potion making now, so I wanted to know if anyone had any requests or suggestions for me.
I've been mostly focusing on healing potions and poisons, but Wonderland made me realize that I need to expand my inventory beyond that.
But since that was my first mission...I'm not really sure what sort of things people would find helpful or useful. So I thought it would be better to ask those of you who have been here for a while.
I can't promise I'll actually be able to make a potion to fit the demand, since I'm still pretty new at this, but...I'll try my best.

And lastly, the favor.
This is going to sound a little morbid and weird but...does anyone have a set of animal bones I could borrow? Any animal is fine, and the more complete the skeleton, the better.
I need to test a potion to make sure I made it correctly...

Yes.
I just learned how to make a tincture to reanimate skeletons.
And I want to make sure it works before we're on a mission and actually need it, you know?

I'll have to look through the library and see if I can find anything for invisibility...I can't really even think of where to start when it comes to making something like that.

You mean fire breathing as a performance art?
I think it's special kinds of fuel that makes that work...I've never looked into it so I don't really know.
But you need a torch and fuel to make it work.

Paraffin or naphtha, usually. There isn't really a special fuel, actually, it's about what's safest to use that'll produce the right effect.
It takes a loooot of practice and experience to do it right, so careful if that's really something you wanna do Akamatsu-chan! It'd totes suck to light yourself or a friend on fire instead of a monster.

Something to boost endurance or speed would be helpful for preventing injuries in the first place. [In case they ever get a no-healing rule in the future.]

The kitsune of Vista Virs are hunters, I believe, so they might be able to help you with the bones. And I might be able to copy them when you've found some, if you need more than one set?

I should be able to manage that! I've been working on something for endurance already, but I hadn't considered speed.
Good idea.

I'm not sure that I'll need more than one set, but I'll let you know.
It'll depend on if there's a limit on the number of times a single skeleton can be reanimated...which I won't know until I've tested it.
The chemist brochure unfortunately didn't give many specifics...

I'm glad to help. I can also copy some simple plants if you need materials, but it's pretty limited, so it's probably best for emergencies or something.

The brochures are really kind of ridiculous, anyway. But I guess they're a starting point.

I started a garden, so I'm set on plant materials!
At least for now, while we're on the base.
Whenever we set out on our next mission, though...that might be a different story.
If I have any plant emergencies while we're out looking for Relics, I'll let you know.

They are, but I'm kind of glad they don't give all the answers.
It's frustrating...but at the same time, it's more satisfying to figure things out on your own, you know?

I can see that. And if they had all the details, they'd probably be books instead of pamphlets... which a lot of people wouldn't have the patience for.

Have you spoken to the chemist teaching the logic and puzzles class? I'm sure she could give you some pointers, too.

No, I haven't. Or well, not about this issue specifically.
I've asked about some other, more general chemist stuff, but...she's not a Reclaimer.
So she's never been on a mission before, and wouldn't really know what would be helpful in those kind of situations.
Or not in the way that people who have been on several would. If I asked her for suggestions, she would just make assumptions based on logic, rather than experience. Which is all I can do as well, since I've only been on one mission.
That's why I thought it would be best to ask the rest of you. The more experienced Reclaimers.

In my world, we have items called ethers and elixers.

Ethers give you your magic back, and Elixers heal both magic and health.

Would there be a way to make a potion like those?

That sounds simple enough, so I think I could manage something like that.
The Elixer might be a little trickier since that's two different effects in one and I haven't attempted anything like that yet but...we'll see.
I won't know until I try!

I don't think it will. So far, I've managed to avoid making anything explode on me while concocting.

Oh, yes, that's definitely one of the hazards of chemistry, magical or otherwise.
But I'm very careful, especially since I have my lab set up in my dorm room.
